A small design studio that ships. We design and build websites and iOS apps, and we've released our own products — so the thing you approve in design is the thing that goes live.
Most product work goes wrong in the same place: the screens get designed before the system does, and by the fourth feature nothing matches. We work the other way around. Color, type, spacing, and components get decided first, with a written reason for each one — then the screens are quick, consistent, and easy to extend.
That discipline comes from shipping our own apps. MetconRX, Deep Work, and Recite are all live on the App Store, all designed and built in-house. We've done the whole loop — concept, design system, implementation, store listing, updates — which means we know which design decisions are cheap and which ones cost a developer a week.
We take a small number of client projects at a time, and the person you talk to is the person doing the work.
If a color can't say what it means, it doesn't get added. Palettes get smaller over a project, not bigger.
Text meets AA contrast before anything gets styled. An accent that fails on its background isn't an accent, it's a bug.
A gym app is read at arm's length, out of breath. A reading app is read in a quiet room. Those are not the same design problem.
Tokens, components, and specs — documented — so what ships looks like what was designed.
We will scope your project and be honest if we aren’t the right fit.
